Rhynchostylis gigantea

$35.00

An exotic spicy-scented species from SouthEast Asia that gets its common name - foxtail orchid - from its fantastic arching flower spikes that resemble fox tails.

Produces fragrant 3cm blooms in a range of colours from white with pink spotting and blotches to hues of purple and red.

Grows best in warm to intermediate conditions, with bright, indirect light, good air circulation and high humidity. Water when just dry. Grows well in hanging pots or slatted baskets with a coarse, quick-draining mix. Can also be grown bare-rooted if you can maintain high humidity.
