A medium-sized species from the cloud forests of Costa Rica and western Panama that produces spikes of up to 35 waxy fragrant flowers - pale yellow, heavily marked with chocoloate-brown spots and a contrasting lilac lip.
Cool growing, this species does best in moderately bright filtered light and high humidity. Water freely through the growing season and reduce watering and allow longer dry periods between waterings over winter to provide the rest it needs to trigger reliable flowering.
