The long-lasting flowers open successively on the flower stem, providing months of continuous blooming.

This species grows best in cool to intermediate conditions, moderate light, and benefits from a winter rest. Very easy to grow and flower, Prosthechea cochleata will also thrive on a windowsill indoors.
