The photo of the flower is for reference only. The other photos are an example of the size of the plant for sale (7 cm pot).
Note also that because the seedling is from a cross, all the plants will have slightly different flowers.
A small to medium-sized species from the lowland forests of Luzon, Samar, and Leyte in the Philippines, Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana produces arching spikes of 3–5 waxy, star-shaped flowers, each 5–6 cm across and sweetly fragrant. This is a cross between the “dark’ form which has more intense and darker colours.
It grows best in warm conditions (min 18° C, max 30° C), medium humidity, light, to medium shade and good air movement. Plants should be kept moist all year, watering to keep the roots damp but not soggy. Phal. lueddemanniana has a habit of making keikis so leave green viable inflorescence alone so they will bloom again or grow kieikis.
