The second parent, Paph. Hilo Black Eagle is derived from Paphiopedilum Johanna Burkhardt (rothschildianum × adductum), which was then back‑crossed onto Paph. rothschildianum, giving it an enhanced dose of ‘rothschildianum’ influence.
The resulting cross is anticipated to produce large multifloras similar to Paph. Lady Isobel but with much darker colouration. Sure to be a show stopper!
Grows best in bright light, warm conditions, high humidity and with good air movement. It needs to be watered throughout the year, allowing it to slightly dry out between watering.
