The photo of the flower is for reference only. The other photo is an example of the size of the plant for sale (4cm pot).
Note also that because the seedling is from a cross, all the plants will have slightly different flowers.
A beautiful night-scented Epidendrum.
This species is naturally found in several parts of Central America, the West Indies, and into northern South America as far south as Peru, Bolvia and Brazil.
A large sized, reed stemmed orchid, it produces large showy flowers on the end of mature pseudobulbs which are intensely fragrant - particularly at night - and described as eucalyptus to anise scented.
Grows best in intermediate to warm conditions, in bright diffuse light with constant moisture all year and good air movement. Grows naturally in a range of conditions so will tolerate some variation in temperature. It doesn’t need a winter rest although it is recommended to keep it drier in winter if grown in cooler conditions.
Health established seedlings, 6 months out of flask.
