Dendrobium lineale

$30.00

Native to New Guinea, Dendrobium lineale grows naturally along streams and coastal areas from sea level up to 800m. This large and highly floriferous species produces impressive arching sprays of 15–35 long-lasting, heavy-textured, fragrant flowers from the tips of older canes.

Flower colour is variable—ranging from pink, blue, yellow, purple, and white—but most commonly features white petals with a purple-veined lip.

Grows best in warm to hot conditions, bright light (but avoid direct sun at midday) and high humidity. Water well when actively growing and provide a dry winter rest period but don’t let the plant dry out completely.

  • Note also that because the seedling is from a cross, all the plants will have slightly different flowers.
