A pretty, small to medium-sized species native to Southeast Asia. Aerides crassifolia produces arching stems adorned with up to 50 fragrant, long-lived flowers in purple-pink hues.

Grows best in intermediate to warm conditions, with bright, filtered light, good air circulation and high humidity. Water generously when actively growing but reduce water during the cooler months. Grows well in hanging pots or slatted baskets with a coarse, quick-draining mix. Can also be grown mounted on tree fern fibre.
