Aeranthes arachnites

$35.00

This unusual species from Madagascar is easy to grow and flower. It’s also known by its synonym of Aeranthes grandiflora.

It produces large greenish-white slightly-transparent flowers on thin wiry spikes - the flowers almost look like they’re suspended in air. Flowers are also fragrant and long lasting, and it can reflower from the spike the following season so don’t cut it off.

Grows best in filtered/diffuse light, intermediate-warm conditions, high humidity and good air movement. Water well when actively growing and keep it on the dryer side in winter but don’t let it dry out completely. Needs an open fast-draining mix.

  • Note also that because the seedling is from a cross, all the plants will have slightly different flowers.
